A United States deputy marshal is drawn into a conspiracy and becomes the target of powerful government officials.
Deputy Marshal Jessica Devlin is sent to Mexico to bring an American citizen back to the States to stand trial. But when the hand-off is hijacked, the twenty-nine-year-old agent senses betrayal, senses her own agency may have been compromised.
On her own, out of options, running from the gunmen trying to kill her, Devlin is forced to do something drastic, something that doesn't come easy to her — Trust.
